photo pierre gattaz" Electronics and digital technology are together today the keys to France's economic development and drivers also of innovation in all sectors, whether industrial or service. They will provide the technologies to meet those societal needs that offer as well future market opportunities: telehealth, energy efficiency, "smart grid," electric vehicles and intelligent roads, safety, defense, space and aeronautics...

The recent debate surrounding the French national "Grand Emprunt" and the Etats Généraux de l'Industrie (special assemblies on industry) has demonstrated the role our industry plays, both one of structuring and as a driving force.
France has and maintains strong companies of all sizes (large groups, medium-sized companies, SMEs) that innovate, compete and develop in international markets. What our sector lacks is a major trade show that is both a Forum for political and strategic thinking on French, European and global levels and a practical and commercial meeting point between customers and a dynamic ecosystem.
The electronic and numeric industry exhibition will strive to be this annual meeting point that will, during three days, bring together all those involved (production equipment manufacturers, components and subassemblies, electronics manufacturing, electronic measurement, engineering and design consultancies, distribution, universities, engineering schools, financing, competitiveness clusters, laboratories and more...) to debate, exchange, decide, make contacts and move forward collectively!
This is our ambition and our road map.
We are counting on you."

Electronics are pervasive in most business sectors, even the most unexpected,  and there always comes a time when electronics need to leave the virtual realm and be produced, to transform ideas, innovation and R&D into marketable products or systems. CIEN's goal is to be the practical window into our industry that will help all those involved find solutions whether for designing and developing electronics, or manufacturing them, measuring, controlling, subcontracting them, or even financing them.

The world is changing, our points of reference have radically shifted, the rules  of the game have become global, we have to adapt, even anticipate... GIXEL is committed, alongside other electronics and digital technology sector associations, to the creation of a major electronics trade show that will bring together, under one roof, expertise and partners. CIEN will be the opportunity for us to present a wide range of products and services that meet the needs of individuals and society, demonstrating that innovation remains the guarantee of the development and growth of our professions in electronics.
Jean-Pierre QUEMARD
Chairman of GIXEL
(French association of electronic component and subassembly interconnection industries)

The electronics industry needs a showcase equal to its ambitions. France cannot afford to fall behind. CIEN will be, for all those involved in the sector, a real opportunity.

Chairman of SIMTEC
(French association for electronics testing and measurement)

Micro/nanoelectronics are at the core of all applications, both  current and future, whether for the digital society or for anticipated improvements in the fields of health, safety, the preservation of natural resources and energy consumption. Very high speed connections accessible to all, the intelligent and efficient management of energy in buildings, telehealth, intelligent roads and clean cars all inevitably require greater use of increasingly complex and efficient semiconductor electronic components. That's why SITELESC will contribute to the key event that is CIEN.
Gérard MATHERON
Chairman of SITELESC
(French association of electronic tube and semiconductor industries)

snese

Electronics and digital technologies have become essential in our  everyday lives. All recent developments in industry in general, computer-integrated material handling, transport, health, manufacturing processes are inseparable from an electronic system that makes them both more efficient and more economical. SNESE will be present to support its members who would like to place their skills at the service of innovation in the industry. SNESE will also be present to offer proof that the electronic sector is in line with the environmental (we know how to design PCBs and electronic systems that are environmentally-friendly, low-energy consuming and recyclable) and economic reality (lean manufacturing, international procurement management, total supply chain commitment, low-cost solutions).

Pierre BIGOT
Chairman of SNESE
(French national association of electronics design, manufacturing and integration subcontracting companies)

We are acting to offer our Customers, locally, an exchange and meeting point  necessary to an overall view of our product and services offer. CIEN will then be the "Showcase" of the Electronics and Digital Technology Sector in which we are an essential player, as much for our suppliers as our customers.
François KUREK
Chairman of SPDEI
(French association of industrial electronics distributors)
